How will we rebuild the South’s agricultural economy?
I will assist the southern states by bringing many skilled workers and volunteers to help build all the farms back. I will also use the workers and volunteers to help build more factories so they can build things on their own.
Policies:
How do these policies help farmers?
It helps them because they don't have to pay the workers until they harvest the cops, so that the farmers will have enough money to pay the workers. A farmer can purchase the land from the owner so that they don't have to pay money for the land anymore. A farmer doesn't have to worry about paying rent, because he can pay the money when he wants to.
What types of crops should the United States focus on producing?
The United States should first focus on the production of food crops like wheat, beans, corn, squash, and other fruits and vegetables. The reason they should first do food crops instead of cash crops is because they need lots of food because they had been suffering in the shortage of food after the battle. Once they have enough food then they should produce more cash crops.
Sharecropping and Tenant farming
Sharecroppers were farmers who borrowed all the equipment that is needed to grow crops.
Tenant farming is when someone pays a rent for the land they produce and harvest crops on.
- We can build many cotton farms and tobacco farms because the South solely focused on the production and farming of cotton and tobacco.
- Northerners can help by going to the South and help in the reconstruction of farms.
- People can work at the farms for payed labor, so the farm owner doesn't have to harvest all the crops on their own.

Policies:
- If a farmer has workers he can pay them after all the crops are produced and harvested.
- If a farmer has rented land he will be able to purchase the land from the landowner.
- A farmer can pay the landowner the money for the rent when he gets enough money to pay.
- Freedmen will be paid the same amount of money as if they were American.
